Where veterinary care meets creative passion
Vanessa started her animal care journey young. At 19, she became a veterinary technician — diving headfirst into the unpredictable world of clinic medicine. Over the next decade she worked across routine care, emergency and critical cases, and shelter medicine, developing the kind of animal handling skills that only come from real, sustained experience.
Then came cosmetology school. Vanessa had always been drawn to color theory and the satisfaction of transforming something with your hands. But she didn't leave animals behind — she started working part-time at a grooming salon while finishing her training. That's when the pieces clicked.
Grooming was the perfect intersection. The technical precision of scissor work. The artistry of creative color. And crucially, the animal behavior knowledge that lets her read a pet's comfort level in real-time and adjust accordingly.
Nova&Co. was founded on that foundation. Every appointment is one-on-one and quiet. Every technique is chosen with the pet's wellbeing first. And every creative groom is backed by the kind of animal handling expertise you just don't find at most salons.
